The Straight Forward 12" Release PARTY will take place @ Badeschiff / Donaukanal (Vienna) November 2006: All tracks for the upcoming release "Straight Forward" are mixed and will be mastered by calyx mastering in Berlin. Blockwerk finds its first real sponsor: Quadtec
September / October 2006: Drummer Aaron Thier and bass player Camillo Fernandez joined our live set for Blockwerk´s biggest live gig up to now. Bence even had to use a megaphone. We had to close our online guestbook because of annoying spam attacks. Sorry! July / August 2006: Blockwerk is working on the new track "Straight Forward" - Almost Done... "Straight Forward" will be released on vinyl later this year featuring remixes by Electric Indigo, Erik Sumo and DJ Collage (distributed by soulseduction). Stay tuned for more... gets released September 2005: Blockwerk's Studio Session was a big success and a great experience for everyone involved! Blockwerk recorded the songs "Intro", "Amjala System", "Drop don't stop" and "Music" at "Joe's Garage" Studio. The next studio session will take place in a couple of months... July 2005: It is time for Blockwerk, to relax and take some time out while other bands are busy travelling from one festival to the next ;-) We were able to find a week in August when we all have time to go to the studios to start the work on our album. In the meantime, the label oddtime records has been working on other projects intensively! The Oddime Records Compilation is coming up soon, will it be finished by fall alreacy? we'll see...
June 2005: For human beings light is the ultimate phenomena to perceive sense objects through the sense organs. Without light there is no life. Without life there are no senses. For many scientists light seems to have absolute and perfect attributes. It is still questionable if information can be transferred with a speed, faster than light. Light divided into it's spectral aspects turns into coloured light. So every colour represents a part of the absolute light. The absolute is put together from its very specially coloured aspects. May 2005: Lots of things are happening... First of all: our sound master Thom Schneider turned a father on the 21st of May - exactly on the day we had to perform without his outstanding sound mixing skills for the first time - CONGRATULATIONS TO MARTINA AND THOMAS!!! A new baby girl is born and her name is Sophie! Another change within the Blockwerk Crew has taken place. Since Sarah decided to concentrate on other obligations in her life, Blockwerk had to seek out a new great female voice and found charming Kathi Harrauer. This lady comes from a drum and bass background (Rasselbande) and is determined to stick with the band for good. We have a good feeling about this new development - things are looking and sounding really nice :) -------------------------------------------------------------------- April 2005: Unfortunately we had to part from our great background vocalist Kathi Now Sarah has taken over - Come and see her at Flex! Finally we started loading some pics onto this little site of ours... -------------------------------------------------------------------- February/March 2005: The new Cay Taylan Remix "DIJITAL SUNSHINE" - an incredibly hot remix of Ulrich's Sitar dominated EP track "Jah Sunshine" is on it's way. Couch Records DJ Cay Taylan finished the production of his track, voicing is still in progress... It's gonna be a real burner tune - that's for sure! Blockwerk is working on three to four new tracks for the upcoming album 2005. October/November 2004: The first LIVE Gigs in dis ya season (Buchschachen, Chelsea) -------------------------------------------------------------------- September/October 2004: Blockwerk contributes a track to the musical "UDO 77" (opening night on the 15th of September @ Rabenhof/Vienna). -------------------------------------------------------------------- July/August 2004: Blockwerk flings down the smash hit "Inner Peace" which is frequently played on FM4 and some other local, national, inter- and outernational radio stations this summer.
